KIDS CREATIVE WRITING

In this fun and interactive workshop, designed for ages 8—12, kids take part in a series of short writing activities using observation, imagination and description. Designed to build creativity and confidence, this workshop is a safe and respectful space where self-expression is encouraged. During COVID-19, these workshops have been adapted for online delivery and are so far going beautifully!

Individual registration

The cost for individual registration is $40 per workshop (discount for a bundle of 4 workshops during the July school holidays)

Each kid will need:

• a stable internet connection

• paper and pencil to write with

• coloured textas or crayons

Group bookings

The cost for group workshops is $399. Maximum group size is 15.

What do I need?

A group of up to 15 willing kids (between the ages of 8 and 12) and their parents’ verbal approval (we’ll finalise written consent as part of the booking process). A designated contact parent who can confirm a date and time that suits all participants. If you are from a library, council, school or organisation, we will ask for your assistance with the marketing and registration process.

If your child is daunted by the idea of joining a group workshop, get in touch at hello@lucyjadenelson.com to fill me in and we can tailor a workshop to make your little one comfortable. One-on-one workshops (or workshops with just their siblings or another friend) are a fantastic way to gently build confidence and self expression. On these occasions, we encourage parents or guardian to sit in on workshops and participate too!
